Singers Welcome!

Are you interested in singing German folk songs?

No knowledge of the German language is necessary, you can learn as you go, and we’ll even teach you how to read music!  No audition, no qualifications, no hassle… just fun for all with our professional musician and director, Bill Snyder!

Bill Snyder

Bill grew up in Endicott, earned his Bachelor of Music in Education from Susquehanna University, after which he taught music in a pre-school interdisciplinary reading program for inner city children, then teaching general music at a local junior high school. Bill went on to earn his Masters Degree in Historical Musicology at Binghamton University with his Master’s Thesis The Evolution of Production Styles of Wagner’s, “Der Ring des Nibelungen,” 1876-1976. Bill has worked at WSKG for 20 years; conducts live and pre-recorded artist interviews about art and cultural events.  Bill is currently Choir Director at Christ Episcopal Church in Binghamton, and has performed with Tri-Cities Opera, the Ti-Ahwaga Community Players, Summer Savoyards, as well as with the Binghamton University Chorus.
