Willkommen

The Binghamton German Club is a social organization of people who like the German culture and enjoy its celebrations.

Established over 100 years ago to preserve the German’s perennial love for music, sociability, and conviviality, our immigrant founders created our beautiful German Picnic Grounds and Clubhouse in Kirkwood. Here is where we host multiple German festivals every year: Brats 'n Brews, Sommer Biergarten, Oktoberfest and Harvest Dance, as well as other events as listed in our events calendar. You will also find us enjoying the grounds every Friday night at Stammtisch, our regular weekly gathering in the Ratskellar starting about 5 PM. Stammtisch promises food and beverages rain or shine and Gemütlichkeit! Good Fellowship!

If you are interested in experiencing German culture more deeply, we have several activities that our members and guests enjoy. We are the proud home of the Binghamton Gemishtechor, our award winning German-language mixed chorus. Under the leadership of our professional director, the chorus performs concerts in the area and competes with other German choruses in the New York State Sängerbund. We have also at times run German language classes and have organized trips to regional German restaurants, New York City and even to Europe.

Love of Germany and the German culture is all that is required.
You don’t have to be German to join!

Guests are invited to consider membership at all our events. Ask for a brochure and an application, or apply here online. We welcome all in the area who want to have Gemütlichkeit right here in the Southern Tier!
