Are you interested in singing German folk songs?
No knowledge of the German language is necessary, you can learn as you go, and we’ll even teach you how to read music! No audition, no qualifications, no hassle… just fun for all with our new professional musician and director, Bill Snyder!
Bill grew up in Endicott, earned his Bachelor of Music in Education from Susquehanna University, after which he taught music in a pre-school interdisciplinary reading program for inner city children, then teaching general music at a local junior high school. Bill went on to earn his Masters Degree in Historical Musicology at Binghamton University with his Master’s Thesis The Evolution of Production Styles of Wagner’s, “Der Ring des Nibelungen,” 1876-1976. Bill has worked at WSKG for 20 years; conducts live and pre-recorded artist interviews about art and cultural events.
